BVCC reach inaugural T20 Cup Final!

Big congratulations to our 1st X1 who reached the League’s inaugural T20 final with a superb semi final win last Sunday against Addingham.  We had the accolade of hosting both semi-finals at a sun soaked All Alone Road and a big crowd took in the new format, bbq and the bar to make it an afternoon to remember. Villas and Addingham opened proceedings with Addingham batting first and posting a decent score of 168-6 after a slow start.  Villas responded well with Junaid Bashir opening and top scoring with 56 and Parag Mohite and Ashan Tanvir making good knocks. After a mid innings slow down a hard hitting quick fire 20 from Louis Brown took us over the line with 8 balls to spare and a 3 wicket win.  Fantastic performance from the lads.

The second semi was never going to reach the same level of excitement with Saltaire knocking off Hall Park’s 79 off only 14 overs despite losing 6 wickets.

The final is scheduled for Colton CC and we’ll post details nearer the time.
